Steven D. Cabouli is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CaseX.

Steven D. Cabouli is chief executive officer of CaseX, where he is responsible for helping guide the development of new technologies and CaseX's long-term opportunities.

A leader in the field of mobile communications for more than 25 years and a key architect of CaseX's strategic vision, Mr. Cabouli spearheaded CaseX's efforts to develop and commercialize RFID shielded biometric technology breakthroughs that have significantly contributed to the growth of both the Company and the industry. Important developments which began under Mr. Cabouli include: the first biometric secure case; inclusion of bluetooth tethering capabilities to mobile devices.

As an innovative leader of a broad range of technical teams within CaseX, Mr. Cabouli has been granted more than 12 patents related to wireless technology and devices.

LaVaughn Waterford Senior Chief Operations Officer (COO)


LaVaughn Waterford Sr. is chief operations officer of CaseX, for the last six years, Waterford has helped define and implement CaseX's strategy and technologies.

As Chief Operations Officer Waterford partners closely with the Chief Executive Officer Steven D. Cabouli to help define CaseX's strategic direction and long-term vision in order to ensure strong cohesion and alignment with all strategic planning efforts throughout the organization. Waterford also has oversight of CaseX's investment portfolio.

Prior to his role as chief operations officer for CaseX, an engineer for more than 20 years, the inventor of the encrypted multi-host controller used through-out the intelligence community.

Mr. Watreford began his career as a strategic projects engineer for Intelligence Pacific (IntelPacific) servicing confidential Department of Defense entities.

Mark Stevenson executive VP Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Mark Stevenson serves as chief technology officer for CaseX. In this role he is responsible for global research and development activities associated with all biometric encryption chipsets BEC, CaseX’s semiconductor business, as well as overseeing the companywide technical and product roadmaps across all business areas. Additionally, Stevenson has oversight for CR&D and corporate engineering.

Stevenson has overseen hardware and systems engineering activities in BEC since 2010 and all of BEC engineering since 2011. Prior to joining, Stevenson lead CaseX’s Global engineering team and was also part of the team that developed the biometric standard. He has been a member of CaseX’s Executive Committee since 2014.

Stevenson received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as his doctorate in electrical and computer engineering. He is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of Engineering and is also a member of the Council of Advisors.

Prior to joining CaseX , Honick specializing in intellectual property for various technology companies.  

Daniel Honick executive VP Technology Licensing (CTL)

Daniel Honick is executive vice president of CaseX Technology Licensing (CTL), a division of CaseX.  As the head of the company’s licensing business, Honick is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of CTL, including managing the division’s day-to-day operations.

Honick has led CTL since March 2016, applying his business experience to manage intellectual property, regulatory and commercial matters for CTL, as well as ensuring continued growth and monetization of CTL’s existing and future licensing programs through negotiation of significant licensing agreements. Most recently, Honick has been instrumental in driving the conclusion of new license agreements with key OEMs in China.

Since joining CaseX in 2011, Honick has held various leadership roles focused on IP matters. .

Prior to joining CaseX , Honick specializing in intellectual property for various technology companies.

Robert B. Epstein executive VP Engineering Technologies(CET)

Robert Epstein serves as executive vice president of CaseX's Engineering Technologies(CET). In this role, he is responsible for the oversight of all activities related to CaseX’s mobile device biometric encryption business. Epstein also serves as a member of CaseX’s executive committee.

Epstein served as co-president of CET for two years and prior to this was senior vice president of Product Management with CET, managing the Company’s mobile device biometric encryption portfolio. Epstein joined CaseX in 2011 as an engineer and during this time he has held several other business and technical leadership roles at the Company.

Prior to joining CaseX Epstein served as the chief technical officer of AIP, a wireless communications operator in Israel and South Africa.

Epstein a graduate of Technion – Israel Institute of Technology University in Haifa, Israel.

Pat Smith Chief Financial Officer (CF0)

Pat Smith joined CaseX in March 2013 as chief financial officer. In this role, she is responsible for leading CaseX's global finance organization, information technology and investor relations. Smith is also a member of the Company’s executive committee, helping to drive CaseX's overall global strategy.

Prior to joining CaseX, Smith held several leadership roles including corporate treasurer and head of the corporate business development group, where she was responsible for merger and acquisition activities, strategic planning, and management of the company's venture investments.
